There are many "Child
Friendly Motels in and
around South Florida. If
your motel says that they
carry cribs , be sure to ask
what kind of cribs they
carry. Most motels have
small portable cribs with
very thin mattress or mats

Florida child restraint law
State law requires children
under age 5 to be protected
with an approved and
properly used child
restraint device. For
children under 3, Florida
law requires that they be in
a separate car seat or a car
seat that is integrated into
the vehicle. For children
ages 4 and 5 , a separate
car seat, integrated car
seat or seat belt may be
used.

Away baby care can be easy , whether
you are an experienced parent or
just watching some one else's kids for a
little while. The main ingredients
for a successful "Baby Care Experience"
are : ( " K I S S " ).
1)Knowledge
,
2)Imagination
,
3)Safety
and
4)Supplies
1) Child care knowledge - There are many resources to
find the knowledge you require including
online resources like
"AwayBabyCare.com".
2) Constructive Imagination - is something that comes
naturally whenever you have to care for
children for any amount of time, do not
be afraid to use your imagination to get
out of some of those predicaments that
kids always manage to get themselves
into.
3) Child Safety - .is one of those qualities that most of us have
either learned from our parents or from
experience.
4) Baby Supplies - can be divided into two categories : A)
Baby equipment
: i.e
cribs , car seats , high chair ,
stroller etc. and
B)
Personal care:
i.e diapers ,
formula , wipes , rash cream , lotions
etc. I recommend making your own
list and breaking it down into the two
groups mentioned above.
Naturally while the child is in transit there are some
Personal care
items that
have to be readily available so it makes
sense to bring them along. On the other
hand it could be a real burden to carry
all of your baby equipment with you. Car
seats or folding strollers might not be
to much of a hassle especially if you
will be needing them before baby arrives
at your accommodations If traveling from
the airport by shuttle you might not
need a child safety seat. Ask the
shuttle company ahead of time. Naturally
it makes allot of sense to rent larger
baby gear like the crib , stroller ,
swing and high chair because of their
size. . What about baby's other stuff ?
Those items that keep the children
occupied and happy so that you can be
un- occupied and happy. The bouncy seat
is like the" Lazy Boy for infants and
they come with a built in vibrator. The
"exer-saucer"
gives baby all the benefits and exercise
of the old style "walkers" but
you don't have to worry about them
walking out the door or down a flight of
stairs.
All these other things can add up to a
whole lot of back aches. I have been
told that baby equipment rental and
delivery is the best thing for parents
since the "Traveling Nanny".
There
are some things that are absolute
necessities to have. Now you don't have
to bring all the necessary baby
equipment and supplies with you..
Companies like "Away Baby
Care - baby equipment rental
have baby care
professionals that help you determine
which items would be best for your
children according to the age and weight
of the child. The benefits of this
is the delivery service.
How great would it be
if some one else brought every thing you
needed , Cleaned , sanitized and did
safety checks on all the baby equipment
?, The crib , high chair etc.
delivered and set up ahead of time. They
even check for recalls and
replace the items if necessary.
